Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho will be taking on Chelsea for the first time since leaving his former club when the two teams clash against each other in their World Football Challenge match on Tuesday. Jose Mourinho was appointed as the Inter Milan coach last season and the Portuguese manager has had limited success in his first season. Inter retained their Serie A title for a fourth successive season but were dumped out of Coppa Italia in the semi finals while losing out to Manchester United in the knockout round of the Champions League.

We’re at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California this evening for day two of the competition and what a cracking showdown we have in store as two of Europe’s superpowers go head to head. It’s Jose Mourinho versus his former club, it’s Carlo Ancelotti against his old crosstown foes… it’s Chelsea vs Inter.
There goes the final whistle! Chelsea are off to a winning start in the World Football Challenge but Inter are still without a win after two matches. The Blues dominated the contest for long periods created the better chances and Ancelotti will be happy with this performance. Final score... Chelsea-2 Inter-0!

After a delay due to the exhanges of pleasantries, including the presence of a few Hollywood celebrities, Inter will get this contest underway!
It's a full house, but those who are present in the stands are providing an electric atmosphere. Chelsea have possession and they are happy just to pass the ball around in their own half.
Carvalho and John Terry comes close to putting Chelsea infront as they thump in a header with a successive of corners but they failed to find the target.
It's Chelsea who are making all the attacking initiatives at the moment. BUT INTER HAVE A CHANCE TO COUNTER! Vieira charges forward and releases Balotelli, but Carvalho makes a brilliant interception just outside the box!
Inter are slowly getting into their stride now but it's the west Londoners who are showing more cohesion and understanding in these early exchanges.
LAMPARD RELEASES DROGBA THROUGH ON GOAL!! Drogba is onside... he controls the ball and rounds the Inter goalkeeper, squares it to the middle from the byline but he just couldn't find Kalou!!
DROGBA TURNS AND DRILLS IN A SPECULATIVE SHOT FROM 25 YARDS OUT and Belec allows it to slip between his fingers!! Excellent strike by Drogba, but it took a slight deflection on the way to go, but that was a poor save from the Inter shot-stopper! Chelsea up 1-0!

DROGBA slightly miscues a volley from Ivanovic's centre and Belec dives comfortably to his right to make the save... much to his relief! Yet another flowing move by Chelsea but for Inter, they are nowehere to be seen at present! They can barely get the ball out of their own half.
Cordoba does test Cech when he rises high to nod in a corner but it lacked any power to cause any real concern at the Blues goal.

Lampard chases down the ball with Burdisso towards the byline and both of them ends up colliding with the advertising board!! Lamps isn't too happy, though, as he grabs the Argentine defender by the collar and the linesman had to intercept quickly!
Lampard clips a delicious ball behind the Inter defence... KALOU RUNS ON TO IT DOWN THE LEFT CHANNEL but he tries to dink it to the middle instead of going for a shot on goal and Belec is easily able to collect.
Balotelli dances forward... BALOTELLI SKIPS INTO THE BOX but he just took too long on the ball and he is eventually dispossessed by Carvalho!

Lampard bombs forward... Lampard slips in Kalou down the left... Kalou breezes past Cordoba in the box but the Colombian defender double backs and lunges forward to make a superb tackle.

Just a few second of stoppage time added on and the referee blows for half time. Ancelotti will no doubt be the happier of the two coaches heading back into the dressing room. IBRAHIMOVII latches on to Quaresma's freekick (82°) at the backpost but the Swede's half volley from a tight angle smashes into the side netting!
